The London Eye (also known as the Millennium Wheel), 135 metres (443 ft) high. The London Eye is the biggest Ferris wheel in Europe, and it is one of the most popular paid tourist attractions in the United Kingdom. The London Eye has over three million visitors every year.

The London Eye is located between Waterloo and the Westminster Bridge, and is also opposite the Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, providing a stunning view over central London and beyond.

The London Eye is a 30-minute, slow-moving 'flight' over London. It is designed to reflect the elements of air, water, earth and time. The central theme of the London Eye is a circle of white light from within the rim which sweeps the skyline at 135 metres. This amazing attraction has the capacity to handle 1,500 visitors every hour. Each and every visitor is treated to a great service and are placed on a half-hour ride in space age capsules holding 25 people each, hopping on and off as the wheel moves.

On June 2008 it was announced that 30 million people have ridden the London Eye since its opening in March 2000.

The London Eye is open from 10am-8pm daily, Oct-May and from 10am-9pm, June-Sept. Walk up tickets are £13.50 (adults), if you pre-book they’re a little cheaper, booking online saves 10%.

Nearest Tube: Westminster (Exit 1 Westminster Pier) and Waterloo From Waterloo mainline station, take exit 6 for the South Bank and follow the signs.
Buses: 211, 24 and 11, and tour bus routes.
Train: Waterloo International Station & Charing Cross Station
Car: 3 car parks at the South Bank Centre, accessible from Belvedere Road. These are Hungerford Bridge, The Hayward Gallery and the National Theatre car parks.
Coach: The coach drop off point is located on Belvedere Road behind the British Airways London Eye. Access to The Eye is then through Jubilee Gardens.
